Gangtok, Pelling, Yuksom and Namchi Tour

Meet your representative at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station to begin the scenic drive up to Gangtok, situated at an altitude of 1,437 metres. Settle into the mountain atmosphere after the 120-kilometre journey. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll down the pedestrianised M.G. Marg or wander through the vibrant local market stalls. You stay overnight in Gangtok.

Have an early breakfast and set out for a guided sightseeing circuit of Gangtok. Visit either Rumtek Monastery or Ranka Monastery to view traditional Buddhist architecture and serene halls. Stop at Ban Jhakri Falls set amid green woods, take in the scenery from Shanti View Point and Tashi View Point, visit Ganesh Tok, and explore exhibits at the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology. Spend your evening relaxing or browsing the town at your own pace before retiring in Gangtok.

After breakfast, check out of your hotel and commence your road trip west towards Pelling, located at an elevation of 2,072 metres. The route winds through valleys known for their rich flora, including rhododendrons and orchids. On clear days, the ridge affords vistas of Mount Khangchendzonga, Pandim, and neighbouring Himalayan peaks. Arrive and check into your hotel. Spend your evening taking a relaxed stroll around this quiet settlement. Overnight in Pelling.

Enjoy breakfast before embarking on a full day excursion through forested landscapes towards Yuksom. Visit the sacred Khecheopalri Lake, venerated by both Buddhists and Hindus, followed by Khecheopalri Monastery. Continue to Tashiding Monastery, the historic Dubdi Monastery, and the ancient Norbugang coronation throne. Head back to Pelling in the late afternoon. You have the evening free to browse local shops or visit the helipad before spending the night in Pelling.

Have breakfast, check out from the hotel, and take the morning drive south to Namchi, sitting at an elevation of 1,315 metres. Arrive in the district headquarters of South Sikkim by midday. In the evening, you can browse through the central market area or visit the revered Siddheshwar Dham pilgrimage complex, known as Char Dham. Transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay in Namchi.

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy some free time at leisure for packing and last-minute activities. Later, check out and meet your vehicle for the transfer back to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, bringing your Sikkim journey to a close.
