Leh, Diskit Monastery, Turtuk and Pangong Lake

Land at Leh Airport, meet your representative, and transfer to your hotel. Spend the day resting and acclimatising to the high altitude with minimal physical activity, drinking plenty of water. In the evening, attend a tour briefing session with your trip captain regarding safety guidelines and the upcoming route. Dinner is served at your hotel in Leh, where you spend the night.

Have breakfast at your hotel before setting out for local sightseeing. Visit Sangam, the picturesque confluence where the Zanskar River merges into the Indus River. Continue to Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and witness the gravity-defying phenomenon at Magnetic Hill. Pay respects at The Hall of Fame war memorial and view Leh from the white-domed Shanti Stupa. Spend the evening cafe hopping and shopping in the local markets before dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Leh.

Eat breakfast at the hotel, then drive 130 km to Nubra Valley. Your journey crosses Khardung La Pass, located at an elevation of 18,380 feet. Descend into Nubra Valley and check in at your campsite. During the day, you have time for double-humped Bactrian camel rides or ATV rides at your own expense. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at your campsite in Nubra Valley.

After breakfast at the campsite, embark on a 170 km round-trip drive to Turtuk, situated close to the Indo-Pakistan border. Known for its apricot trees and valley views, you can walk through the village on foot, relax along the banks of the Shyok River, and visit the Balti Museum to discover regional history. Return to Nubra Valley in the evening for dinner and another night at your campsite.

Have breakfast before setting out on the 180 km journey towards Pangong Lake. Stop along the route at Diskit Monastery to see its 100-foot-tall outdoor statue of Buddha. Continue onwards to the shores of Pangong Lake, check in to your lakeside cottages, and spend time strolling near the water. After dinner, take in the night sky with stargazing if conditions are clear. Sleep overnight in cottages near the lake.

Eat breakfast at your cottages before departing on the 150 km drive back to Leh. Journey across Chang La Pass, one of the region's prominent high passes. Along the road to Leh, visit Shey Palace and the multi-storey complex of Thiksey Monastery. Upon arriving in Leh, check back into your hotel, enjoy dinner, and rest for the night.

Have breakfast at your hotel and complete check-out formalities. Bid farewell to your travel companions and staff before your vehicle transfer to Leh Airport for your departure flight.
