The alpine hotel we stayed at near Interlaken had the kind of comfort you genuinely don't want to leave. We seriously considered skipping a day trip just to lounge by the window with those mountain views. Best few nights of the whole itinerary.

Lucerne felt a touch touristy right near the bridge with souvenir shops crowding the path. The town beyond that first stretch redeems it completely though. Would still recommend it without hesitation.
