Chapel Bridge in Lucerne with flowers all along it was even prettier in person than in photos. Zurich's Altstadt in the evening had such a romantic, unhurried charm.

Weather turned cloudy for two of our four days which meant the Titlis views were mostly grey mist instead of the postcard panorama we were hoping for. Lucerne's Chapel Bridge and the town itself were still charming regardless of weather. Zurich felt a bit corporate and less romantic than we expected for a couple's trip. Food near our stay was on the expensive side even by Swiss standards.
Loved it, though Lucerne honestly deserved an extra night over one of our Zurich ones.
Switzerland was pricier than we expected going in, but this trip made every franc feel worth it for a couple's getaway. Lake Zurich cruise with the Alps slowly appearing on the horizon was a quiet, memorable start to the trip. Titlis was the highlight without question, that cliff walk is not for the faint hearted. Lucerne felt more relaxed than Zurich and honestly we wished we had one more night there.
