Chinatown at night in Bangkok was our favourite evening of the whole trip, my husband and I just kept ordering random things off carts we could not name.
Loved the mix, but doing the Grand Palace and Wat Arun in a single day in that heat left my wife wilting by lunch. Split them over two mornings if you can, we wish we had.
Eleven nights split between Phuket and Bangkok gave us the best of both as a couple. Island hopping out to Maya Bay was the postcard shot we had seen a hundred times and it held up in person, then rooftop cocktails over the Bangkok skyline felt like a second honeymoon.
Grand Palace and Wat Arun back to back in one day was a lot of walking in the heat but absolutely worth it, the detail on those temples is unreal up close.
